Spine & Sport was founded in 2004 by Dr. Jacques L. Beauchamp and Dr. Eric C. Bull. The company specializes in the advanced practice of physical therapy and high-quality personal training services. They have grown from a one-room clinic with three employees to six facilities employing over 100 staff members in a matter of 6 years. Spine & Sport currently serves southeast Georgia and Florida. They have facilities in Downtown Savannah, Whitemarsh Island, Effingham, Richmond Hill, Hinesville and now Jacksonville.

In September of 2011 the company was honored for the third year in a row by Inc. Magazine; being ranked one of the nation's fastest-growing, private companies. Physical Therapy

Dr. Jacques L. Beauchamp, PT, DPT, SCS, OCS, ATC, CSCS
Founder
President

Dr. Beauchamp Co-Founded Spine & Sport in 2004 with his college roommate, Dr. Eric Bull. Their shared vision of providing exceptional physical therapy and personal training to the Savannah region has resulted in Spine & Sport's unprecedented growth. In less than five years, the practice has grown from a small clinic of three employees, to having six locations with over 100 employees. This growth accounted for Spine & Sport being honored in 2008 as the 357th fastest privately-owned company in the USA by Inc Magazine.

He is one of a handful of physical therapists in the State of Georgia to be a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in both Sports and Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and is considered by his peers to be an expert in the evaluation and treatment of shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle pathology. His training and experience has allowed him to work with professional, collegiate, and high school athletes; as well as numerous weekend warriors.

Dr. Beauchamp was an Adjunct Professor in Armstrong Atlantic State University's Sports Medicine program. He has lectured nationally and given numerous local seminars on various sports medicine, physical therapy, wellness and business management topics. He is an avid sports fan and is most passionate about the Detroit Lions; yes, those Lions. In January of 2010 he was elected to the Advisory Board for the Greater Savannah Sports Council. He lives in Savannah with his wife, Cindy, their son Gabriel; and dogs, Beau and Eva.
Dr. Eric C. Bull, PT, DSc, MPT, MMT, OCS
Founder
CEO

Dr. Bull is considered by his peers as an expert in the examination and treatment of orthopedic conditions. His doctoral research on spinal pain has led to development of new techniques and technology to help his patients achieve faster results. Dr. Bull has lectured internationally on spinal and shoulder pain and developed programs for rapid post-surgical return to work and pain reduction techniques. His passion for physical therapy has acquainted him with Olympic hopefuls and weekend warriors.

Dr. Bull lives in Savannah with his wife and children.
Bryan W. Kist, PT, DPT, OCS
Vice President of Operations - Savannah
Center Coordinator of Clinical Education

Bryan Kist joined Spine & Sport in the fall of 2007. In 2001, he received his Masters degree in physical therapy from New York Medical College and in May of 2011, he completed his clinical doctorate degree in physical therapy from Regis University.

In 2006, Bryan completed the competency-based certification for vestibular rehabilitation, recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) for advanced clinical practice. Afterwards, he helped to develop the outpatient vestibular program at Columbia University Medical Center in New York. In 2009, he was recognized by the APTA as a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedics.

Bryan currently lives in downtown Savannah with his wife Torrey. He enjoys playing golf, hockey, running, and faithfully watching his beloved New York Islanders.

Dr. Susanna Leffers , PT, DPT
Hinesville

Dr. Susanna Leffers has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Loyola College of Maryland and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from George Washington University. Her clinical internships in outpatient orthopedics provided her with experience in manual therapy techniques and also allowed her to travel to Australia where she lent her knowledge of sports training to sports trainers on the subject of side line treatment and safety.

While working on her undergraduate degree at Loyola College, Dr. Leffers played Division 1 volleyball for the college. She remains active in sports and currently competes in marathons and half marathons.
Dr. Alysha Deal PT, DPT
Islands

Dr. Alysha Deal is originally from Phoenix, AZ and attended The University of Arizona until moving to Savannah, GA where she completed her Bachelor's of Science majoring in Biology from Armstrong Atlantic State University. Alysha then moved to Florida and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in April 2008.

Alysha's clinical affiliations included orthopedic, pediatric and hospital settings in which she gained experience in a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. She is currently working towards a certification in Manual Therapy from The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and plans to pursue an Orthopedic Specialty Certification.

In her spare time she enjoys running with her boxer, reading, and being outdoors.
Dr. Rachel Spivey, PT, DPT, MTC
Richmond Hill

Dr. Rachel Spivey came aboard to the Rincon office of Spine & Sport in June 2008. A Louisiana native, Dr. Spivey obtained her bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University. Due to her special interest in manual therapy, Dr. Spivey chose to receive her training in physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Florida. She graduated with her doctorate of physical therapy in April of 2006. Recently, Dr. Spivey completed the USA's Manual Therapy Certification program. Prior to joining the Spine & Sport team, Dr. Spivey has spent the last 2 years practicing in South Carolina.

Privately, Dr. Spivey continues to passionately follow collegiate sports. A competitive fencer in high school, she continues to be involved in the sport. Dr. Spivey currently assists the historian for the US Fencing Association with his work on the US Fencing Hall of Fame.
Ian Young, PT, DSc, MS, OCS, SCS, Cert. MDT
Downtown

Ian received his Bachelor of Science in Sports Biology from Springfield College and in 1998 he graduated from North Georgia College & State University with his Master of Science in Physical Therapy. He went on to earn a Doctorate of Science in Orthopedic/Sports Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, where he developed a interest in teaching.

Ian was an Adjunct Professor in the Virginia Commonwealth University's Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and speaks at Research Platform Presentations for the organization on a national level. He is a certified specialist in Orthopedics, Sports and Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy of the Spine.

Ian is an avid lover of sports and lives on Tybee Island with his wife, Erin, their two sons, Avery and Jack.
Dr. Heather Hudacko, PT, DPT
Hinesville

Dr. Hudacko earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science with an emphasis in Physical Therapy, as well as a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. While working on her undergraduate degree, she played on the University's Division I Soccer team.

A love for the game of soccer and a desire to make a positive impact on kids, lead Dr. Hudacko to volunteer countless hours coaching in organized youth leagues.

She is a sports fanatic. If she isn't playing soccer, she is finding a sporting event to watch.
Dr. Kaitlin Hunt , PT, DPT
Islands

Kaitlin received her doctorate at Duke University, after earning her bachelors at the picturesque Erskine College. She is highly interested in Orthopedics and will pursue a specialist certification in the field. Kaitlin is originally from Lake Wales, FL , and is a currently lives on Whitemarsh Island. She likes to play fastpitch softball, tennis, and travel in her spare time.
Dr. Zach Jerrell, PT, DPT
Hinesville

Zach relocated to the Savannah area in summer of 2011 to join Spine & Sport's team. He moved from Florida where he obtained a Bachelors Degree in Heath Science at the University of Florida and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of North Florida. His dog Snickers joined him in the move. In his free time, Zach makes sure not to miss a Florida Gator sporting event. He is an all-around sportsman, playing tennis, golf, soccer, and baseball, as well as marching in Florida's band during college.
Dr. Mark Powers, PT, DPT
Richmond Hill

Mark earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Savannah's own Armstrong Atlantic State University, where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Before that he attended Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts, where he focused on physical education and exercise science. He also ran cross country and did track and field at Bridgewater. When Mark isn't at the office he is usually outdoors, running, biking, or kayaking.
Amelia Manley, PT
Effingham

Originally a native of Canada, Amelia has worked all over U.S. before landing in coastal Georgia, where she and her husband now own an oyster farm. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Buffalo. Amelia works to excel across the board as a physical therapist, and enjoys working with any niche within the field that she can find. In her spare time she likes to travel, cook, workout, and spend time with her husband and two children.

Anthony Glenn, PTA, BS

Anthony Glenn received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from The University of South Carolina at Aiken. He became a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant after earning an Associate of Health Science from Greenville Technical College.

The clinical rotations Anthony has completed have provided him a great deal of experience in the treatment of orthopedic, musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. He has assisted in patient care by instructing and advancing patients in therapeutic exercise programs and administering the appropriate physical modalitites.
Bradley Gordon, PTA, BS
Richmond Hill

Bradley Gordon earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University in 2007, where he majored in Exercise Science. He then enrolled at Darton College in Albany, Georgia, where he received an Associate's of Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

His clinical rotations and experience include the treatment of various orthopedic injuries and also working with athletes on increased sports enhancement. Bradley is an avid triathlete, who loves snow skiing in the winter and spending time with family and friends. On Saturdays during the fall, he roots for the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.
Dolores Linsangan, PTA
Richmond Hill

Dolores Linsangan began working for Spine and Sport in 2010 after graduating from South University's PTA program. Originally from the Philippines, Dolores and her family migrated south to the warmer climate of Savannah after a five-year layover in Canada. She loves to sing and enjoys family trips back home to the Philippines and Canada. When she is not at work, Dolores enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff, and their two sons, Dylan and Nathan.
Gary Gemlich, PTA

Gary comes to us from West Virginia, attending West Virginia University and then the Allegheny College of Maryland, where he gained his Bachelors of Science in Education, Masters of Science in Athletic Training and his Associates Degree in Physical Therapy. Gary currently lives with his wife Amanda and their son in Pooler, GA. In his spare time he loves to hit the outdoors, biking, fishing and swimming.
Miranda Wilson, PTA
Hinesville

Miranda is from Eden, GA and earned her degree from South University. She has a full-blooded Pitbull named Iva, who always brings a smile to her face. Miranda loves to travel, attending country music concerts whenever she can, and likes to go to the beach or fish in her spare time.

Carolin is a graduate of Bowling Green State University, and a transplant from Cleveland, Ohio. She is passionate about proper safety measures involved in athletics. Carolin has two dogs, a Jack Russell Terrier named Prince and a Boxer named Diesel. She focuses her down time on finding fun and new activities to do with friends.

Cindy Beauchamp
Certified Personal Trainer, BS: Manager of Spine & Sport Wellness

Cindy has been with Spine & Sport for over a year and is now starting a wellness area of the company. Cindy has an extensive background in the wellness industry through ownership and management of Fitness Facilities. She has been teaching national and international group fitness classes since 1986 and became a national Certified Fitness trainer in 1987. Through her college journeys she has studied exercise science, laboratory medicine, business administration,and business management.

Before joining the Spine & Sport team she has worked as a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor for the landings Club on Skidaway Island. Cindy plans to use both her background in management, and her experience in the fitness industry to excel Spine & Sport's wellness department. She is excited to be a part of such a great organization where she can share her motivation and love for fitness with her clients and staff.
Nathan Mikeska
Personal Trainer

Nathan Mikeska is a Certified Personal Trainer originally from Kittanning, Pennsylvania. He recently moved to Savannah and is attending South University where he studies physical therapy. After high school, Nathan joined the Air Force and worked in security and law enforcement. His position required him to be physically in shape; he was instrumental in helping friends and his squadron with fitness programs.

In 2005 Nathan's squadron sent him to The Cooper Institute in Dallas, TX where he earned his Personal Trainer Certification from Dr. Kenneth Cooper, the founder of the institution. After receiving his certification, Nathan conducted personal training with his entire squadron and worked as a personal trainer for the Moody Air Force Base Fitness Center. Prior to working for Spine & Sport, he worked as a trainer for Anytime Fitness in Valdosta, GA where he has trained with clients of all ages. Nathan has always been interested in fitness and nutrition and knew early in life that he would want to work in that field for the rest of his life.

Kristin Seckinger
Certified Personal Trainer

Certified personal Trainer, Kristin Seckinger is a native of Effingham County. She received a full athletic scholarship to the College of Coastal Georgia for softball where she played second base and short stop. She finished her post secondary education at Armstrong Atlantic State University, where she earned a Master of Science Degree in Sports Medicine. Kristin received her certification as a strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Melissa Fender
Vice President of Administration

Melissa Fender has held many positions since joining Spine & Sport in 2009. As Vice-President of Administration, the offices of Human Resources & Personnel, Recruiting & Hiring, Communications, IT, Accounting, Finance, Supply Procurement, and Records all report directly to Melissa. As a top company executive, she also plans and implements strategies for ensuring solid, functioning company policy and the overall establishment of the organization.

Melissa attended the University of South Carolina's School of Business Management and studied Health and Wellness Sciences at the Heritage Institute in Jacksonville, Florida. She came to Spine & Sport after a long career in Luxury Resort Spa Management, Corporate Training & Corporate Brand Positioning, and Retail Management. Melissa is a certified Green-Belt in the Six Sigma business methodology for rapid transfer of innovation and technology.

Also, as a Certified Massage Therapist and Shiatsu Practitioner for more than a decade, Melissa is passionate about educating others on the importance of the natural, proactive approach to wellness that these modalities and the field of Physical Therapy each provide. Melissa values and promotes a healthy balance between work and personal life. Above all else, nothing in life is more enjoyable than her most fulfilling role of all… being the best mommy she can possibly be.
Hannah Patterson
CEO's Communicator

Hannah was a 2005 honor graduate of Effingham County High School. She was an active member of the Rebels' tennis team. Hannah suffered a lower back injury her senior year and came to Spine & Sport for rehabilitation. Her experiences with the staff lead her to join the Spine & Sport team. She has held several positions within the company, including Receptionist, Physical Therapy Aide, Bulk Mail Officer and Training Room Officer. Hannah recently graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and has elected to stay on at Spine and Sport as the CEO's Communicator.

Hannah spends her spare time working out and loves being outdoors. Horseback riding is one her favorite past-times.
Jordan Nearhoof
Director of Rehabilitation, Hinesville
Referral Source Contact Officer

Jordan Nearhoof is the Referral Source Contact Manager and the Director of our Hinesville clinic. He is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Penn State University. After college he joined the United States Army, where he earned the rank of Captain and served a 14 month tour in Iraq.

Jordan is very active and enjoys the outdoors. In his spare time he plays golf and tennis. Although he loves living in the coastal empire he does miss snow skiing. He admits that he will participate in almost any organized sport. He lives in Savannah with his wife, Brittany.
Bobby Goldner
Director of Rehabilitation, Richmond Hill
Vice President of Operations Deputy

Bobby joined Spine & Sport in March of 2011. He quickly mastered his post of Director of the Richmond Hill clinic, and now also serves as the Vice President of Operations Deputy. Bobby's extremely strong background in development and coordination of internal operational policies and procedures makes him a resident go-to guy. During his career he has specialized in marketing, product development, and operations. Bobby is an avid music enthusiast and reader, and he currently lives in Savannah.
Marcie Kersey
Receptionist

Marcie is the front desk receptionist at our downtown location. She moved to Downtown Savannah from Dublin, Georgia in April 2008. With a background in sales and customer service, Marcie is always eager to greet each patient and assist in any way she can, always with a smile. She looks forward to going to work every day, as she gets to work with some of her dearest friends.

In her spare time, Marcie is usually outdoors. She enjoys bike riding, bocce, gardening, taking her dogs to nearby parks, and exploring Savannah with friends and her boyfriend, Ash. Marcie is attending Armstrong Atlantic University working on her degree in Nursing.
Rachael Wyss
Communications Manager

Rachael is a true Spine & Sport veteran. She started as the Communications Manager in October of 2011 after mastering the Front Desk position at the Effingham clinic. As Communications Manager, she wears many hats, all combining to ensure all incoming information is routed to the correct person and any problems that may arise are properly handled. Rachael lives in Rincon with her husband, Dustin and son, Dylan.
Brian Walker
Personnel Manager

Brian Walker joined Spine & Sport after serving as Human Resources Administrator for DynCorp International, supporting employees in the U.S, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. After spending over a year in Kuwait and Iraq assisting the Middle Eastern region and training new Human Resource representatives, it was time to return home. In his spare time, Brian enjoys spending time with his family and creating art. A published cartoonist, he has done work for over a dozen companies such as Upper Deck and Marvel Comics, where he got to draw many of the characters he grew up enjoying reading.
Dru Nelson
Hiring Liaison

Dru is responsible to ensure all open Spine & Sport positions are properly filled, and with the company growing so quickly, she always keeps busy. The unique interview process makes finding a candidate a very exciting and rewarding process. As Hiring Liaison, she also works with schools all over the country to reach out to physical therapy students. Dru is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, and she rarely misses watching a Tennessee Vols or Lady Vols game. In her spare time, Dru likes to relax on Tybee Island with a good book or look for shells on one of Savannah's gorgeous beaches.

Victoria Nieves
Accountant and Records & Assets Manager

Victoria joined the Spine & Sport team after relocating from Key West, FL with her husband Michael, formerly of the U.S. Coast Guard and current SCAD student, and their precious daughter Gabby. Since moving to the area they have also welcomed a very large addition to their family, Odin, a loving and energetic Great Dane. Victoria's favorite past time is playing and watching volleyball, while Odin's favorite past time is chewing Victoria's shoes! At work, Victoria is directly responsible for many aspects of Spine & Sport business, including Accounts Payable and Receivable, Payroll Processing, Managing Bank Accounts, Tax Compliance, and Supply Procurement.
Michelle Bradley
Income Manager

As Income Manager, Michelle Bradley is directly responsible for overseeing the Corporate Billing and Collections Team. With more than a decade of experience in the field of Healthcare Management, her experience and knowledge are unmatched. In a never ending quest to expand her knowledge, Michelle is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Healthcare Management. The staff in her department affectionately refer to Michelle as their "Straw Boss" because of her strong personal work ethic and expectations of each of them. She truly inspires each to strive for excellence. Michelle enjoys sharing life with her very own hero, her husband David, a firefighter here in Effingham County. Michelle is extremely proud of her four children and six grandchildren.
Shasta Butler
Account Control Officer

Shasta joined Spine & Sport as the company Billing Officer. Before coming to Spine & Sport she worked for an attorney's office as a Legal Assistant. She also brings with her seven years of experience at Effingham County Tax Office as the Senior Mobile Home Tax Clerk. Shasta enjoys the atmosphere and her co-workers at Spine & Sport. In her spare time she enjoys reading, scrap booking and her favorite, spending time with her boys. She has been married for eleven years to her husband Lee and they have two boys Brett 8 and Austin 2.
Brittany Buhler
Billing Officer

Brittany joined Spine & Sport four years ago as a physical therapy aide. She is currently enrolled as a student at Technical College of the Low country and will be starting their nursing program in August 2011 and plans to become a Labor and Delivery nurse.


She enjoys spending time with my family and friends, going salt and fresh water fishing and lounging beach soaking up the sun.
Brandy Rewis
Insurance Collections Officer

The Insurance Collections Officer diligently works to collect all balances due from insurance companies on behalf of each Spine & Sport patient. Brandy also bills all Secondary and Tertiary Insurances. Brandy attended Savannah Technical College prior to joining Spine & Sport. In her spare time, she likes spending time with her family, especially her son Peyton. Brandy carries a passion for photography and spends time photographing close-ups of nature scenes.
Robin Wynn
Patient Collections Officer

Robin Wynn was promoted to the Corporate Billing & Collections Team after a successful tenure working in our Hinesville location. She works very closely with each patient to be sure he/she fully understands statements received and ensures payments are manageable for each patient's individual financial situation. Robin currently resides in Allenhurst with her husband of fifteen years, Jermaine. They have a beautiful family of five children Jasmyne, Jermaine Jr., Malik, Jordyn, and Savana. As a busy mother and career woman, IF a free moment presents, Robin spends it reading quietly.
Marketing and Public Relations

Laurie Silvers Ross
Vice President of Public Relations

Laurie is the Vice President of Public Relations for Spine & Sport. She joined the company in 2011. Her responsibilities as VPPR include managing the Public Relations and Marketing department where her goal is getting Spine & Sport's name in front of the public and making sure everyone knows who, where and what Spine & Sport is.

Laurie is a Savannah native. She earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Georgia and had a successful news career at stations in Savannah, Atlanta and Columbus, GA before turning her expertise to public relations. Laurie is very active in the Savannah community, attending as many charitable events as time permits. While nothing can ever replace her hometown, she loves to travel, especially to New York City. Laurie is a proud mother to her son, Robert, and daughter, Wells, whom serve as a constant source of joy.
Beth Ann Walker
Public Relations Officer

Beth Ann came to Spine & Sport in June of 2011. A fan of never repeating the same workday twice, Spine & Sport's lively environment and constantly expanding community outreach ensure there's never a dull hour in her day. Her favorite time of the work year comes in September, when Spine & Sport hosts a huge fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project. She earned her degree in Journalism from the University of Tennessee and worked at a magazine in Knoxville before moving to Savannah. Beth Ann is passionate about getting involved, and serves as an Ambassador for the Savannah and Richmond Hill Chambers of Commerce, the Junior League of Savannah, 13th Colony Society, and her Delta Gamma Alumnae Group. She isn't a big fan of down time, but when necessary she enjoys being on the water, in the mountains, or with a good book.
Krissie Laird
Referral Source Contact Manager

Krissie Laird is the Referral Source Contact Manager for Spine & Sport. She graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelors degree in Education and her professional background includes Sales, Marketing, and Business Development.

Krissie and her husband, Preston, moved to Savannah in 2009 and have since been enjoying all that the historic city has to offer. They are active members of Savannah Christian Church and Krissie volunteers her time and talents to the Junior League of Savannah, Backus Children's Hospital at Memorial University Medical Center, and the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, where she serves on the Ambassador council.

In her spare time, Krissie enjoys travel, exercise, the outdoors and spending time with her two Yorkies, Tucker and Sophie.

Lisa Malphrus
Promotions and Marketing Director

Lisa Malphrus joined Spine & Sport as the front desk receptionist at the Effingham location in August of 2007. A former educator, Lisa was looking for a field of work where she could continue to be of encouragement to the public. As a receptionist, greeting and managing patient files allowed her to grow more acquainted with the field of Physical Therapy. Lisa was promoted to Patient Care Representative in March of 2008. As the patient care rep, Lisa's objective is to get feedback and ensure that each patient is happy with the service that they received at Spine & Sport. Lisa's compassion and dedication make her a perfect fit for this position.

In her spare time, as a mother of three adventurous boys, Lisa enjoys exploring the outdoors, hiking, camping, cooking, and writing.
Melissa Thompson
Bulk Mailing Officer

From Effingham County, Melissa Thompson works as Spine & Sports' Bulk Mail Officer. Her position duties are to accurately determine the need for bulk mailing and get materials to the correct publics in a timely manner. Thompson has previous work experience in office administration, billing, and customer service. In her free time she enjoys shopping, water activities and most of all spending quality time with her daughter, Brittany.
Vanessa Branch
Patient Satisfaction Officer

Vanessa relocated from Melbourne, Fl to the Pooler area September of 2011 with her husband Greg when he accepted a position at Gulfstream. Vanessa brings to Spine and Sport 11 years of healthcare experience between 2 local Hospitals on the East and West coast of FL. Vanessa plans on continuing her education at Savannah Technical College the Spring of 2012. Vanessa and Greg are active members of Canvas Church in Pooler. In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys photography, spending time with her family including her fur babies (2 dogs and 1 cat) and watching football. Vanessa is a avid FL Gator fan, and never misses a chance to watch a game and show the Gator Nation Pride!
