Dr. Alan Manning PT, DPT, OCS, MTC

Dr. Manning joined Spine & Sport in February 2013 after graduating from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in December 2012 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He is originally from Tifton, GA, and received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.

He has completed an Orthopedic Residency which provided advanced post-professional training to improve clinical decision making with emphasis on direct access, advanced medical screening, evidence-based practice, and manual therapy. Dr. Manning gained his Manual Therapy Certification in October 2013 through the University of St. Augustine and has recently been certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties which recognizes excellence in orthopedic care. He plans to pursue a Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy in order to continue advancing his clinical skill set and become a leader in the industry that always advocates for the patient’s best interest.

Dr. Manning enjoys seeing patients’ through direct access because it allows him to fully utilize his unique skill set in order to restore normal movement, prevent future injury, and decrease pain & dysfunction. Outside of work he enjoys golf, fishing, hunting, going to the beach, spending time with friends, and keeping up with all of his Atlanta sports teams… and the Seminoles!
